This medium-sized two-part self-watering glass planter inspired by terraced landscapes and offset shapes of city balconies is by LSA International. The contemporary shape is designed for indoor planting, with a lower reservoir section which will hold the water, and an upper section which will hold the soil and plants. The two pieces are connected with a cotton trailing cord that will deliver water to the roots, using a sub-irrigation and wicking system, putting the soil in contact with the water. As the plant roots absorb water, the soil wicks up more, maintaining a consistent level of moisture in the soil. This medium-sized self-watering planter is suitable for plants, herbs and bulbs, and it also comes in two other sizes.
