This Montblanc Midsize ballpoint pen has been released to celebrate the world-renowned novel of Jules Verne, and it is the 3rd instalment of Montblanc's Around the World collection. The eye-catching midsize solitaire ballpoint pen is made from precious metal with a Ruthenium finish and blue lacquer, it features many details to tell the story of Mr Fogg's epic journey. A train has been engraved onto the cap of this Montblanc ballpoint pen, to depict the mode of transport used on their final leg of the trip through the United States. The cap and barrel of the ballpoint pen features pressure valves and smoke being blown from the locomotive. The cap itself also features a safety chain pattern that has been engraved onto the cone, to symbolise the moment Passpartout detaches the train from the locomotive to save the crew. At the top of the cap sits the engraved timeline of 36 days back from Yokohama to London. The Montblanc Midsize Ballpoint pen also features a red heart from a deck of cards on the clip, to symbolize the union between Mr Fogg and Princess Aouda.
